The original chair belonged to the journalist and author Elin Wägner.
There are six similar chairs in the dining room in her home Lilla Björka in Småland, where she lived from the 1930s.
The original chair is painted white with a seat of home-woven blue fabric and is probably made by the carpenter Sillén on the estate Fogelstad in Sörmland, where Elin Wägner stayed for long periods through her involvement in Kvinnliga Medborgarskolan.
The construction kit is made of high-quality plywood. The chair is cut out using a water jet, a thin stream of water under very high pressure. The chair should be put together with white wood glue.
