The original for this miniature is a table from Nyköping. It is a very beautiful rococo gate-legged table with softly curved legs. The table top is supported on fold-out gates and have drawers on the short sides. There are metal fittings on the boards that make it possible to connect several tables. The underframe is oil-painted in a gray-white color. Most likely, the table was made in the middle of the 18th century. This is not a rustic table, but it may have been on some castle or manor, or possibly on a well-to-do farm.
The construction kit is made of high-quality plywood. The table should be put together with white wood glue.
